Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of VoiceLab's website, Studio workspace, APIs, and AI products (collectively, the "Services"). VoiceLab is based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan; contact info@voicelab.uz. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms, subject to any notice or acceptance requirements imposed by applicable law.

If you use the Services for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16, legally able to enter into these Terms, and comply with applicable law. If local law requires parental or guardian permission, obtain it before using the Services. Keep your account credentials, API keys, and devices secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must promptly notify us of suspected unauthorised access.

2. Your content, permissions, and responsibility

You retain any rights you already hold in your submitted content. You permit us and our service providers to process that content as necessary to provide the requested Services, maintain security, and meet legal obligations, as described in the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to VoiceLab.

You must have all rights, permissions, consents, and legal bases needed to use audio, voices, likenesses, data, and copyrighted materials. You remain responsible for reviewing generated output and using it lawfully. Output may not be unique or eligible for copyright protection. The platform-voice restrictions below apply even when you own the script or pay for generation.

3. Voice cloning and identity safety

Do not clone, imitate, synthesise, or represent another person's voice without their explicit authorisation and a valid legal basis. Do not falsely imply that an individual endorses, created, or participated in content. We may request confirmation, documentation, or proof of authorisation before enabling or continuing voice-related features.

4. Prohibited use

You must not use the Services to:

  • Commit fraud, scams, phishing, impersonation, identity theft, financial deception, blackmail, harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, or other illegal or harmful conduct.
  • Create or distribute deceptive media that could materially mislead people about a real person, event, or institution.
  • Violate privacy, intellectual-property, publicity, or other rights of others.
  • Introduce malware, evade security controls, scrape or interfere with the Services, or otherwise damage or disrupt our systems.
  • Create or facilitate child sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, violent threats, or targeted abuse.
  • Use synthetic speech to bypass voice authentication, make unauthorised automated calls, conduct spam campaigns, impersonate candidates or public officials deceptively, or mislead people about voting procedures.

5. Lawful and transparent use

You are responsible for complying with laws, disclosures, and policies applicable to your use. Clearly disclose AI-generated or altered content where its nature could mislead people, and tell people when they are interacting with an AI agent. The Services do not replace professional legal, medical, financial, safety, or other regulated advice. Use qualified human review where appropriate and do not rely on AI alone for high-stakes decisions about people.

6. Service availability and output

The Services and generated outputs may be unavailable, incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a particular purpose. Review output before relying on it. We may change, improve, limit, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.

7. Credits, payments, and usage

Paid features may require credits, a subscription, or other payment. You agree to provide accurate billing information and pay applicable fees and taxes. Usage limits, credits, and pricing may be described in the applicable order, plan, or product page.

Purchases are non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise. This includes unused credits and subscription time. The Refund Policy explains billing-error reports and mandatory consumer rights. A paid plan or additional credits do not grant commercial rights to platform voices.

8. Enforcement and suspension

We may investigate suspected violations and remove content, limit access, suspend or terminate accounts, or cancel API access when necessary to protect users, comply with law, prevent fraud, or enforce these Terms. We may preserve or disclose information where required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.

To report abuse or ask us to review an enforcement decision, email info@voicelab.uz with relevant request IDs or links and a brief explanation. Do not include passwords or API secrets. We consider the information available; we do not promise that every misuse will be detected.

9. VoiceLab intellectual property

VoiceLab and its licensors retain all rights in the Services, software, models, branding, and documentation. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended purpose. You may not reverse engineer, copy, resell, or create derivative works from the Services except where applicable law permits.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. VoiceLab does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free output, or that the Services will meet every requirement. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date identifies this version. Material changes require the notice and, where necessary, acceptance required by applicable law; publishing an update does not override rights under an existing agreement. For questions or abuse reports, email info@voicelab.uz.

12. Platform voices: non-commercial use only

"Platform voices" means the pre-made, system, stock, and catalogue voices supplied by VoiceLab, including those selected through Studio, demos, the API, or an integration. These voices and the audio generated with them may be used only for non-commercial content creation and other non-commercial purposes.

Advertising and every other commercial use of platform voices are prohibited, whether you use a free or paid plan. Paying for generation, changing the script, editing or mixing the audio, or accessing it through the API does not remove this restriction.

  • Allowed: personal projects, practice, and educational or creative content that is not monetized, sponsored, promotional, sold, or produced for a paying client or business purpose.
  • Not allowed: paid ads, organic brand promotions, sponsorships, affiliate marketing, product endorsements, sales material, or political advertising.
  • Not allowed: monetized videos, podcasts or channels; paid courses or audiobooks; client work; resale or licensing of audio; or use in commercial apps, products, customer-support agents, and other business services.
  • You must not pass platform-voice audio to another person or service for a prohibited use. These restrictions continue to apply to downloaded audio.

13. Your own and authorised custom voices

A voice you create from your own recordings, or from recordings supplied with the voice owner's explicit permission, is not automatically a platform voice. Its permitted uses depend on your actual rights, the owner's consent, any separate agreement, and applicable law. VoiceLab does not grant you rights in another person's identity or promise commercial clearance.

A custom voice must not be made from platform-voice output to evade the non-commercial restriction. All safety, consent, transparency, and prohibited-use requirements still apply. If you are unsure whether a voice or use is permitted, contact us before publishing or using the audio commercially.
